Dr. Fauci Receives 2021 Ivan Allen Jr. Prize for Social Courage

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, received Georgia Tech's Ivan Allen Jr. Prize for Social Courage on March 15, 2021. Georgia Tech President Ángel Cabrera presented the award. Remarks from Dr. Fauci were followed by a panel discussion which included CHHS Director Pinar Keskinocak, CHHS affiliate Professor Joshua Weitz, and Emory University School of Medicine Distinguished Professor Dr. Carlos del Rio, moderated by Ann W. CHHS Research Director Receives Georgia Tech Teaching Award
|

CHHS Research Director Dima Nazzal has received an institute-level Curriculum Innovation Award from the Georgia Tech Center for Teaching and Learning. As the ISyE Director of Professional Practice, she is responsible for project-based learning in the department. Dr. Nazzal was specifically honored for her development of the ISyE Cornerstone Design class; she developed the course to fill a design skill gap observed in senior design projects. Congratulations, Dr. Nazzal!
